Simon Gagne's goal late in the third period capped a Philadelphia comeback and gave the Flyers a 3-2 victory over the New York Islanders Tuesday.
Gagne's tally came with 6:06 left in the game, a bit less than 6 minutes after Claude Giroux's power play marker tied the contest at 2-2.
Jeff Carter's 31st goal of the year at 12:03 of the second period began the Flyers' comeback from a 2-0 deficit. With the win, Philadelphia defeated the Islanders for the 15th straight time, the NHL's longest active stretch of wins by one team over any single opponent.
John Tavares and Kyle Okposo lit the lamp for New York while Dwayne Roloson let in three goals on 35 shots in the loss.
