Nikolai Kulemin scored into a wide-open net with 49.7 seconds left in overtime Tuesday, giving the Toronto Maple Leafs a 4-3 win over Boston.
Kulemin and Mikhail Grabovski busted into Boston's zone on an odd-man rush at the start of the winning play. Grabovski's pass to Kulemin was disrupted by a back-checking Michael Ryder, but Ryder also took out his own goalie, Tim Thomas, leaving a gaping net for Kulemin to shoot into.
The Leafs also got goals from Wayne Primeau, Carl Gunnarsson and Luca Caputi while Jonas Gustavsson handled 26-of-29 shots as Toronto won for only second time in seven games.
Patrice Bergeron, Marco Sturm and Mark Recchi scored for the Bruins. Thomas came up with several big stops among his 26-save effort but still took the loss.
