Thanks to Candace Frasher for providing us with your wine expertise and thanks to all who attended!

From wine newbies to seasoned aficionados of “the grape” the next SSYP event will be certain the tempt your taste buds.Wine extraordinaire Candace Frasher will teach a class (click here for her bio) in basic wine tasting.

Candace will present on the basics of wine tasting, what to look for, food/wine pairings and SSYP board member Chad Hutson will introduce three no-miss red wines that will go with anything from Captain Crunch to blackened salmon. You’ll even learn the best way to open a bottle of wine.

Candace’s love for wines has taken her across the globe and she has presented to thousands the joy of wine. SSYP is lucky to have Candace share her expertise with us and introduce us to the world of wine.

Chef Gonzo Carillo of the Artisan Culinary Lounge will prepare an amazing offering of food to accompany the wine tasting.

The evening begins with Candace introducing three Rieslings and will share her knowledge of wine varietals. Candace will also have her newly published book “Through the Grapevine” available for purchase at a special SSYP discounted price. Chad will introduce three Washington red blends, then it’s time to taste some more.

After the event, SSYP’ers are welcome to head downstairs to the Artisan Culinary Lounge where local swing and jazz band 6 Foot Swing will be playing until 11 p.m. There will be drink specials for all SSYP members.
