The Spokane Society of Young Professionals is an innovative group that aims to stimulate business relationships, careers, the community and the economy.

Spokane Society of Young Professionals seeks to connect the next generation of leaders by providing an atmosphere where individuals can network with one another. By building an encouraging environment for young professionals, SSYP hopes to keep young talent in the Spokane area.

As a member of SSYP, you will receive discounted admission to SSYP events. You will also be able to attend special SSYP Members Only events. Membership in SSYP costs $25 and is valid for a full calendar year.

SSYP was started in November of 2004 by a group of six local young professionals. Since then membership has grown to over 200 members.

Because SSYP has a very diverse membership base, SSYP offers four different types of events so that each member will have a way to get involved, no matter what they may be interested in.

SSYP started with networking events in 2004 to allow members and their friends to network in a fun, relaxed environment.

In 2006, SSYP launched a series of members-only events called “Beer with...” events, which provide SSYP members with an opportunity to sit and talk with some of the area’s most prominent leaders. “Beer with…” events not only allow SSYP members to learn from these leaders, but they also allow these leaders to hear from some of Spokane’s young professionals.

SSYP broadened our scope of events in 2007 by beginning to offer recreation events and opportunities to volunteer to our membership. 

In 2008, SSYP plans to offer members access to a "members only" secion of the SSYP web site, which will include a member directory and an opportunities page with job, volunteer and board/committee opportunities.
